Digidesign, one of the world’s largest manufacturer of music production hardware and software, will be bundling "Melodyne essential" free of charge with the Pro Tools software from September 2005. The music softwares industry is getting realy huge, presenting music creation softwares that almost ridicules hardware based studios, and software synthetizers that makes synthetizers obsolete, by presenting a variety of oldschool and newschool toys that makes the speakers roar at its best.

This encoder is renowned as the best VBR MP3 encoder. VBR means "variable bitrate", where a different bitrate is used on each frame of the MP3. So instead of lackluster 128k, or oversized 320k being used throughout the entire song, different bitrates are used where they are needed.
