Shiloh Road review by NCMM

Shiloh Road, a Country/Southern Rock band from western New York; is causing a stir on the internet. The four current members of Shiloh Road, have teamed up to produce a Demo and self produced CD that promises to once again shatter the category/genre of music known as Country.

Shiloh Road is determined to use the Internet as a nessasary promotional tool to bring its music to the world. The band released its self-produced "test" album "Road to Shiloh" to Soundclick.com in the beginning of December 2003. Since its debut, "Memories" has dominated the Top 20 Southern Rock charts, later dominating the Top 10. With its slow but progressive climb up the charts, "Memories" promises to be an internet hit. Soundclick has a rule that only 2 songs by an artist can appear on the charts at once. This, in a way, hurts Shiloh Road due to the fact that ALL of thier songs are chart worthy. For example, "The candle doesn't glow" keeps being bounced on and off the charts by other songs from the band.

"Shiloh Road - Road to Shiloh" Album review by NightCrawler Music & Media, Limited......

With songs such as "Northern boy with a southern touch" and "Away from you", SR begin thier journey down a familiar path to Nashville. However creating a few "potholes" in the traditional road to Country Stardom. "Road to Shiloh" encompasses an age-old mixture of Traditional Country blending with an alternative southern soft rock appeal. "The candle doesn't glow" and "No regrets" give a powerful southern rock punch to a more familiar Rockabilly style. "If she's a bee she'd sting" and "It's my heart you hold" reveal Shiloh Road's more traditional country roots while igniting thier Southern Rock/Rockabilly personality with some fired up lead guitar solo's. The song "Runaway tonight" is pure Rockabilly, causing one to feel the urge to crack open a longneck and settle in for a night of fun. And last, but deffinately not least; Shiloh Road's most popular song "Memories" reminds its listeners of classic 70's power ballads with a touch of New York style Country.
