MP3.com EMERGENCY RESCUE SERVICE
Posted by Bluegrassleflaw in on December 5, 2003 at 6:47 PM

Welcome MP3.com's refugees to Dmusic.com

Its about time. Welcome to the longest running independent digital music community of the internet. Since 1997. No major label bullshit. Not having to dress funny and do idiotic things ( unless you want to). We are independent in ownership and spirit. And unlike Mp3.com, Soundclick, IUMA and others, OUR MUSIC IS SELF RATED BY THE COMMUNITY AND SOUNDS FAR BETTER than most independent radio or downloading sites.

Just listen to our internet radio playlists! PLUS....

We provide free services to independent musicians, including a vibrant community, instant messaging, buddy lists, free artist page, unlimited song uploads with ability to "hide: tracks from downloading, immediate band approval, instant approval of songs, private and public band message boards, gig calendar, true downloading and listening charts, the best Indy news feeds on the net, picture and video hosting and more.

We also feature optional fee-based services

· Subscription accounts ($3.95 a month/month), with continual upgrading of features, including 256 and 320Kbs file capability, "hidden" tracks that you can store and only you can see or hear (or your invited guests) , deep linking (ability to stream dmusic hosted tracks from your own website), ad-free, and more. http://www.dmusic.com/contact

· PROMOTION TOOLS (from $5 to $300 per month ) with frontpage rotation as 'featured band', ($20/day for the top spot, $10/day for the lower spots, plus ad banners. http://www.dmusic.com/selfadvertise

· DMUSICHOST.com accounts (now $10.00 and 20.00/month for either 200 meg or 500 meg storage). If you need space for media files - Pro Tools, WAV, Cubase, Avid, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, Cakewalk, midi data, or any thing under the sun, then you need DMusicHost. DMusicHost is DMusic's advanced multimedia web hosting service for musicians, artists, producers, film makers, and others involved in music and multimedia art. While DMusic allows a certain amount of uploading on a free or low cost subscription basis, serious users need more. That's why we've setup a one-stop music ISP where you can adjust major hosting featuers with just a few clicks. We allow service upgrades on demand, such as our popular space and bandwidth upgrades for large media files (available in increments of 100, 250 and 500 megabytes). Our service packages are completely configurable upon your request. We're here to enable your creativity! All packages include Unlimited Email Addresses, Unlimited FTP accounts, Newsletter Tools, Guestbook, Web Based Email and more.

Also, in light of recent legal action in the United States, we have a policy of litigating any section 512h subpoenas under the DMCA on constitutional grounds, so we will protect your rights regarding copyright and media to the greatest extent possible. We're here for you!

I am so glad I moved over here from mp3.com. I was there since 1997 and was constantly upset with their changes to service. This place rocks so far.

I would like to echo my fellow dmusic members in welcoming all those from mp3.com. DMUSIC is, indeed, the best place for independent music on the Web. This is a vibrant community that truly believes in and supports independent artists.

Welcome here, and thanks for coming over.

DMusic is far better than MP3.com ever was. The community atmosphere here has really motivated me to visit the site regularly -- something I rarely did at MP3.com.

Thanks to DMusic for providing this great resource to the independent music community!
