One of dmusic's popular-up-and coming bands,
Bastards of Glory ( that's :fish::poo: in dm slang) will be opening this Saturday, July 26, for the popular early 80's band Flock of Seagulls at San Diego's
Cannibal Bar.
This 9 pm venue will be properly seasoned and primed for the "Seagulls" as the San Diego based BOG goes live on the scene.
Jim Lilly (Vocals/Guitars), Joe Lilly (Vocals/Bass) and Rob Alexander (Drums, Guitars and Vocals), got together in musical force, and the soon funkified Ska/Punk sounds of
Bastards Of Glory(BOG) was born. With furthering influences in Rock & Country, this band has "non-stop 'in your face' energy that won't quit."
BOG Currently is getting ready to release their self-titled debut album. "Once we've completed the new artwork, the album will be made available via
this site and possibly other locations," they told me.
"A CD Release party is pending. So stay tuned."
Make sure you keep your ears open for this splendor of a musical gem!
The Flock of Seagulls have a very 80's retro-pop sound .... One of their most popular songs "I RAN" topped the charts back in my youth and...
*heh*
well, I ran alright, :hyper: as fast as I could to the crappy FM stereo boom box  with the coat hanger antennea :banghead: and CRANKED that song as loud as I could get it to go.:groovin::sing:"...and I rannnnn ...I ran so far awayyyyyyyyyyy..."
*remenisces*
Brightly fluorescence clothing was cool, parachuting attire got popular on the ground and eyeliner was not just for women.:shrugs: fads...
