Try downloading (for purely educational/research purposes, of course) Guster's Warner Brothers Keep It Together.
What you get may not be what you were expecting: instead, there's a guy literally meowing his way through the entire abum.
That's what's on the title track, Jesus on the Radio, Red Osyter Cult - and Diane, Careful, Amsterdam, Backyard, Homecoming King, Ramona, Come Downstairs And Say Hello, Long Way Down and I Hope Tomorrow Is Like Today
Putting it together must have been lotsa work. (Wonder who the singer is? : )
Anyhow, it's a blast and Guster's Meowlbum is certain to become a collector's item in its own right.
Makes you wonder ...

I hate to say it, but most of the music put out by the major labels already sounds like a bunch of cats meowing. Instead, maybe I should say that most of it sounds like a cat getting skinned alive.

Who's Guster?
And if this is spoofing... well, let's fact it. Most people aren't going to hear this Guster guy on the radio. People who find out who he is probably will find out through p2p.
Now, if you're trying to sell albums, are you REALLY trying to tell people who want to try before you buy on p2p that "My album has alot of cats on it."
Much more effective is: Hello, my name is ------- and this is a sample from our new CD -------
Flood the network with promotional bits like that instead.
But again, it keeps coming back - it's not about the money, it's about the control.

I'm a big fan of the band, and I know this is their sense of humor. Basically, the band made it as a joke, and the record label decided to use it to limit actual downloads of the songs.
They're actually a really well-known band, and their latest album debuted in the top 40. A lot better than most major label acts.
