DMUSIC AT THE HIPHOP HOP VOL.I
DMUSIC RASTA PASTA Vol 1.

DMusic Records is also releasing albums of several DMusic artists . More about that later.

DMusicRadio will also be up and running in a few days. We are rocking. Or Hopping. Or Square dancing...

10 bucks sale price. No jewel case - which everyone hates anyway and always breaks - but a cardboard sleeve and insert with info about the artists.

Artists/distributors on each compilation will get 50 discs to start selling, and they send $4.00 per disc AFTER THEY ARE SOLD to DMusic via paypal or snailmail. Thats $300.00 gross profit for the band, and $200 for DMusic. As soon as they sell the first 50, well will send another batch of 50 or 100 , etc etc....

All other distributors have to send $5.00 per CD to DMusic (i.e. 50% of sale price)within 60 days of receipt of the CD's, or return the unsold ones.

Thats It!! Become a DMusic distributor, and we will set you up in business. If you are on a compilation, its a 60/40 split in your favor, otherwise, 50/50.

Also, each artist and songwriter must sign a consent form giving us DMusic the right to include their material on this CD only ( you still retain 100% of your publishing or copyrights, unless you need DMusic's help in publishing or administering, which we will discuss on a case by case basis).

Where are the forms?

Forms are in the process of being drafted.

just wondering about a few things..

are these going to be the "real" (for lack of a better word) versions of the songs, or the mp3 files burned as an audio cd?

and will it be a pressed cd or on cd-r?

when dmusic records get going, will the store still be selling cd's the way it is now? i assume it will expand for the new dmusic releases, but just wondering if you'll continue the current set-up as well.

c'mon, we want details!

1. REAL CD's - play em in yer car.
2. CD , not CD-R
3. We will revamp the store too. Also, Amazon, Cd baby, etc. etc.

how do you find out of you are on the compilation CD?? And how can we be on it if we are not pick??

and if I saw a cd named "Indie Dance Party Vol. 1" I would probably laugh, think to myself "that cd must sound like ass" then walk away and look at something else..

my suggestion is take the site logo, the one on the top left of the screen

edit the subscript to say the independant digital music compilation cd
or something like that, maybe leave out digital so not to scare too many people away?

then just have that simple logo centre of the cover, the rest just the background colour or a simple pattern...

the art as it is now isn't bad, but i'm very iffy about the pictures that have writing on them.. the name of the cd should really be the only thing written on the front. but again, i realize this is probably just the "let's play with this idea" version, not the finished thing.

although really.. since when do "dance parties" include country and new age? seems like a misnomer if you ask me. (but you're probably not asking me. )

we was going to try this guy in California for non-comercial(college and public radio) and specialty shows.. if your interested i got the site and email if you want to contact him... he makes alot sense to me cost quite abit though around 3,000 for around five to seven hundred college radio stations ... and you pay for postage and CD's to the stations... XM radio has a unsigned category... you could possible get a DMusic hour dont know ..also garage sessions has hour syndicated program that goes on about four hundred college stations nation wide... might also Jagged Alibi i kow they just did a CD release and maybe thier label Fidelity Records could give more insight than me.. love you all

* If I cannot contact all the persons listed and obtain a wav. file, promo pictures, or additional text information for this compilation CD I will be forced to alter this list with people who can.

The artist Listed below must do some things for me:
A) contact me ASAP!
b) Make sure your artist page is updated
1. have pictures uploaded
2. have bio updated
3. have song page updated
4. have a journal in place.
I will be making rounds soon to all of your user pages to make sure you have gotten everything current, and that you have contacted me about furthuring details.
Anyone who does not comply will be subject for possible removal of this compilation.

I am currently working on a 2nd Compilation playlist, so once again if you have not made the first compilation do not fret for there IS more coming!! narrowing 133 songs to the first 22 was not easy!

I will also be open to taking a listen to other artist that want to suggest a song of theirs for possible submission for the 2nd compilation. I will only take 3 songs per compilation at this time.

Not for nothing but shouldn't it be what's on the inside that counts not the outside? You can spend months trying to decide on the perfect coverart and title. but, if thats what you all want to do then whom am I to complain?

it is what counts... the content on the compilation is awesome but i wish we lived in a world like that didnt judge a book by its cover or CD.

I'm down to down a custom track for each cd, I can sell cd's easy, I no so many people it isnt funny, Ill just walk up to people, I dont give a fuck, thats a great idea dude Just let me no what I need to do and Ill do it, word up. sin
