Rapper Snoop Dogg, Priority Records, Capitol Records, and Doggystyle Records were named as defendants in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on March 25. The lawsuit alleges that Snoop Dogg used a message left on his answering machine on the song "Pimp Slapp'd", which appears on his latest album, Paid Tha Cost To Be Tha Boss--without the plaintiff's permission.
The plaintiff has kept his identity a secret in the legal proceedings for safety concerns, but on the message he left on Snoop Dogg's answering machine last October he uses his nickname, Jim Bob. The message stated Jim Bob's support of Snoop Dogg in his on going rivalry with Suge Knight.
Jim Bob has allegedly been threatened since the release of Snoop Dogg's album in November, and he fears for his safety and that of his elderly mother since he resides in Knight's hometown of Compton, California.
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff is suing for appropriation of voice and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The plaintiff wants his voice removed from all copies of the single and album, plus unspecified damages.

That's two pirates in three days that are represented by the RIAA. No wonder they can't find any.
