I've been spending a lot of time going through DMusic recently and have come to realize that a lot of our artists aren't utilizing the features that are already here to promote their music. Especially the photo feature of their band page. Right about now some of you are saying to yourself, "I can add a picture to my band page? How?" Yes you can and here is how you do it.
Login into your artist account, on the left side of the main page where it says "Click here to administrate your site!" This takes you to "artists.dmusic.com" this a a private page for DMusic artists only. Regular users can't access this page. At the top of the page you will see "my band Administration". Just below that is a box with links to the various features of your artist website. You already know how to add music to your website, using the file manager and this is also what you use to add a picture to you artist page above your music.
Simply go to your file manager, click on pictures and then add pictures. Upload your pictures. To choose the picture you want on your artist page, just select feature beside the image. The maximum size is 150x150 that will be displayed, but you can upload a larger image and it will be automatically resized to fit. The best quality is achieved if you have an image already 150 pixels wide as the less we have to shrink it the better. Don't have a picture you want to use? Use the same 100x100 image you uploaded when you signed up. You can come back at anytime and feature a different image, to keep your page new and fresh.
Well? What are you waiting for? Let's see some pictures on those artist pages. As always if you have questions or problems don't hesitate to ask one of the admins (the people with the gold lightning bolt.)
Shortly this is going to be required. We'll add a default picture, but wouldn't a picture of your band, cd, or you be better than an image that we supply?
Take a look at lesterchambers.dmusic.com to see what it looks like.
