DMusic at The Future of Music Policy Summit
Posted by AdvancedBill Evans in on January 2, 2003 at 6:50 AM

DMusic will be in full force at the Future of Music Policy Summit this year, as well as being a sponsor.

Several DMusicians will be in attendance, including Natalie Brown, Lester Chambers, Bill Hudson, as well as Leflaw. A number of DMusic members also plan on attending. It's going to be hectic to say the least, but it will also be informative, educational and fun. Add to that mix performances by Patti Smith, and Lester Chambers at the Kennedy Center, and you have a conference worth attending. Your's truly will be there to report on all the happenings, and to shoot some digital pictures as well.

The Conference takes place at Georgetown University in Washington DC. A series of panels discussing the hot topics surrounding music and the state of music are broken up with performances by various musicians that is not only informative but entertaining as well. The schedule can be found at futureofmusic.org/events/summit03/schedule.cfm .

I hate to announce that I don't think I am going to be able to make it to the summit after all :( (Frown) I had the hotel booked and arrangements with Georgetown and the summit taken care off, but of course something came up to complicate all of it.

I had some expenses / complications with the 'whip (a.k.a. car) come up which I did not expect and this weather is pretty nasty and getting nastier in upstate NY.. :p (Joking) Lameness. . and not how I wanted to have happen to start off '03, but what can we do? *sigh*
