Good Morning to you and welcome to the return of your Sunday sermon from the Church of the Geek!
I apologize, my brothas and Sistas of DMusic, for my absence last week I was not in the right mind to put together an article and my computer was acting up. So this week we will flash back to last week and you will feel like you attended the Wizard World Chicago convention yourself! I will post the pictures and then give you a bit of news on some inside scoops that only I have!

Well not much to say here, this is Peter Mayhew the man in the Chewbacca suit in all the Star Wars movies. I asked if Chewy or if he will be be in the new movie at all. He responded that it's up to George... looks like a no go.

Ok well this is nobody but some sweaty guy dressed up like Marvel Comics Baddie Dr. Doom but it was a cool costume and he was a nice guy. The Fantastic Four will soon be written by Mark Waid, who in his own right is one of the tops in the comic business. We may see Doom in the series at least hopefully we will.

This man is the voice of SpaceGhost from Space Ghost Coast to Coast on Cartoon network. His name is George Lowe and he was signing pictures and writing all over them and I mean ALL over them I don't know what the hell he was scribbling but he'd fill an entire photo with words and it was 10 bucks a pop... I passed.

Surprisingly this is the only picture of a hot model I took at the whole convention... there were plenty but this one is the only one I was drawn to. She was hot with or without the glasses but I'm not sure why maybe it was the black pleather outfit with the pointy bra. She got in some pretty sweet and comprimising position with some people... I wish I took a picture of Jinky Coranado or what ever her name she's DAMN HOT and does a book called Banzai Girl from Sirius comics.

Coming this Fall the new Jr. Series GI Joe action figures. With Evil Red Eyed mother and extra blood packs for realistic action!

Is that the REAL Jango Fett??? I'm not sure myself I think it was just some fan who just happened to look like him and LOOK Boba UNMASKED AT LAST!

Two evil dudes I don't know attack Jango and trap him within a blisterpack and they've got Force Action... prison style force that is.

This man is Lowell Cunningham, he's the man who created "Men in Black" generally he was a damn nice guy and he had a lot to say about MIB and MIIB but he was left quite alone and not many people even cared for his autograph. I don't know why nobody wanted it either he is the CREATOR of last weekend's top grossing movie. Oh well... he did mention that he had no creative input nor any say in anything. But he did get to chill with the actors but not Lara Flyn Boyle who played the villian in MIIB. This guy made me sad.

Tom Savini or to me "From Dusk till Dawn's" "Sex Machine". He's a special effects gore man. He was a nice guy. I got some news from his newest flick which opens in August but it's so small that no one will get to see it. He says Chicago might get 1 theatre so I doubt I'll get the chance to catch it. I forget the title too but it was about some serial killer.

They were their basically to hock their new Chaos Comics' funny book. I didn't bother looking at it. There was a HUGE line of "children" waiting to get this rock band's autograph, it was cool an all to see this huge band but I've got to say there were so many wannabe kids just hanging out around that line I could taste the "wah wah" teen angst in the air.

WWE Smackdown/Velocity/Tough Enough wrestler/trainer was on hand and was one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He was nice enough to answer my probably irritating question of whether or not Jake, the really BIG mother F-er with a mohawk that was on tough enough, would be hired any time in the future by the WWE and he said "Not if I have anything to do with it." Wow harsh words, he also told me that the two winners are truly the most talented of the bunch. That Jackie Gayda is so damn hot! Al didn't have much to say to me about that comment though.

90210's former Dillion was on hand to answer a Q&A he's generally a nice guy and I wish I had Showtime just so I could watch this show. It looks really good. The guy seems pretty down to earth and cheerfully answered the barrage of retared questions that are usually asked at these Q&A sessions. I remember when I attended a Q&A with the cast of that crappy movie Mystery Men and some kid asked Janine Garafolo if she got scared by the skull in the bowling ball prop... yeah she gave the same reaction you're thinking of too. All the girls were swooning when Luke took the stage. I damn near drowned from all the wetness in that room.

The special effects and design guy from the likes of the Terminator and a whole slew of other Sci-Fi flicks Stan Winston was there to promote his new comic book Mutant Earth and Realm of the Claw series produced by Image comics.
Here's the contest:
EMAIL ME the name of 3 other flicks that Stan Winston has worked on and win a SIGNED Realm of the Claw/Mutant Earth issue #1 brought to you from yours truly and the Church of the Geek! Any entries entered in "User Comments" will be void and deleted.
There you go that is the Wizard World Experience! If you ever have time you should attend one of these shows this years was Wizard World's worst show in 4 years and it was still a damn good time. Aside from some of these news bit I picked up that an Animated Crow series is in the works by James O. Barr and Ninja Turtles creator Kevin Eastman! Peter Parker: Spiderman's new regular artist for the next 13 months is current fill in artist Humberto Ramos. Stan "The Man" Lee was ill for the convention so I hope he recovers soon and is able to attend next year.
Well that's it enter the contest and I'll be back tomorrow with DMusical Notes
