Seems cool. Maybe someone should turn of the auto-link-creation feature of the site backed so that e.Digital isn't always made into a link.

So this is it huh?? Doesn't seem to impress me much. USB interface? It just looks like a Fisher Price version of the Treo 10. I am kind of glad that I went with the Nomad 3.

ehhh, looks nice... but slightly disappointing after the hoopla of this thing carrying at least 20 gigs, and trust me the 5 gig makes a difference (at least to me it does). But at 299 it can still give the iPod some serious competitive heat :D (Big Grin) ;) (Wink). Yup, with the nomad 3 it is :D (Big Grin):D (Big Grin)

Packers is right boys and girls. e.Digital TREO 20 due in the fall. A real iPod killer. USB 2.0 compatability, smaller (same size as iPod), new user interface, VoiceNav(TM), voice recording, data transfer and a price that will knock your socks off. Stay tuned....

packers and moxa are blatant e.Digital stock pumping shills and should be ignored. If you want the truth about the Treo just try one. It sucks. Cheaply made and buggy as hell. The Archos 20GB recorder is much better deal at $299, is easier to use and has USB 2.0. Its even smaller in width and height, just a little thicker. Neither of those stock promoters even owns a Jukebox player yet they are telling you what you should buy. It is scary what people will do for money.

Just say no to their self serving crap and to the company that puts out garbage players like the TreoXX.

I noticed that even the (new) Treo 10 has the new plastic casing. I thought the casing was one of the best things about the old version.

to be honest if it wasn't for size and price the RioRiot was a better player than the Treo10, what the Treo has on other players is it's compact size. The OS is quite crappy and like I've said before quite boring. Though Voice Nav is a nice feature, honestly though how lazy must one be in the modern world? It's bad enough we have Voice navigated cell phones and television remote controls but when you're using voice navi to go through songs in a music player it just seems like the world has gotten too lazy for it's own good. At least with a cell phone some can use it to get in touch with important contacts fast. TV remote... well no excuse it's bad enough that we don't get up and change the channels manually on the TV anymore, now we're too lazy to push the damn buttons from 40 feet away. Voice Navi should only be left to those who are fingerless or severly crippled. It's like riding around in a wheelchair when you have a perfectly good set of legs.

Yeah I think that new Treo15 looks like fisher price toy as well. The smooth aluminum case was the best part of the Treo10. I am VERY surprised they've kept the same interface buttons, though they get the job done they are far from a perfected layout or format. Hopefully the new after the 15 will have a JOG dial much like the Riot or the iPod. It is quite possibly the most user friendly interface I've ever used.

My best buy just recieved the Nomad 3 so I'll be picking one of those up to review some time in the near future.

Heh, and that packers guy do sound like an infomercial lol. The firmware and build of the thing (concerning my big headphones and faulty plug that don't do well with them) has me waiting out on nomad3. Voice nav sounds too much like a gimmick and not practical for my interests. But it's still good enough like i said to hang with da big boys like iPod.

The plastic casing thing scares me! That was indeed one of the best things about the Treo. Can Packers or Moxa tell me why they save some crappy dollars on platic, when everyone wants the solid brushed casings like before???
