A few months ago, as you may or may not know Dmusic was purchased and our beloved Larry was no longer our fearless leader. Initially, the new owners made their presence known by popping in and asking a couple of forum questions. They truncated the forums, asked members what they would like to see at DM and then, mysteriously, they vanished.
Police, left over DMers and a few lone admins searched the area but there was no sign of them. There was also no sign of any type of struggle. Though it looked like things were still intact it seems they took some admin powers with them, leaving the trusted few with little else to do but sit and wonder with the rest of us.
In a strange turn of events, and what might be called a morbid sense of curiosity, several DMers who havent been around in a while started popping in to see what was going on. A small resurgence of activity began among the die hard few who remained at DM. Often their support came in short unsettled rants and, at other more light hearted times, it was in the form of silly posts that flared and fizzled. The most surprising but happy news is that the music kept coming and people kept writing and recording and uploading music.
The whereabouts of the owners is still unknown but, at least for now, DM is limping along with the same tried and true spirit it always has. People come and people go.even the owners apparently, but DM life goes on.
And a little bit of friendly takeover by those of us left behind is just the start! Onward!!

I think they were abducted by aliens and while they were released after the requisite three days, they signed on again for a second hitch because they enjoyed their examinations immensely.

I think they were captured by malicious maleficent malignant malevolent creatures from another dimension, creatures that would make aliens in this universe look like a picnic in the park.

Great satire .
If they look anything like the girl in that picture abducted by aliens I see why they were taken,

Nothing so exotic, I bet. I think they took a look at the code and short-circuited.

Well to be honest no owner seems to have any positive effect on this site. Be it Larry, curly or moe or whatever the hell their names were.
Its thanks to people like Shadowmom and all the people who have commented on this very post and then many more that this site keeps kicking on and artists keep giving a shit. I wouldn't have it any other way.
PS I thought I saw them walking around Circular Quay near where I work.... So I think they may have moved to Australia?....

It'd be nice to see DMusic modernized. The Web changes fast and DMusic still looks much the same as it did many years ago. Time for an overhaul... protect the community, modernize the technology!
