In the spirit of this article, why is it that no one here has come forward to ask how they wish to share information, instead of only shamelessly, greedily grabbing for it?
Sure, gnutella is about taking as well as giving, but why is the taking side the only one represented here?

I find these questions and the fact that they need to be asked, to be the central problem in the gnutella/internet philosphy: A shrinking number of information sources for an exponentially increasing number of insatiable fly trap destinations. (by fly trap i mean the trend of not sharing even what you do download from others.)
How many here even care about the philosphy to begin with? They read this article, and the first thing to come into their heads was: how can i get it, and how can i get more of it, and how can i speed it up?
Not one mention of how they can contribute.
Gnutella means nothing when what it stands for means nothing more than an endless well to the people using it.
The philosphy dies, and when that happens, on what moral ground can anyone stand as to why the philosphy was good in the first place? The defence dies, and the RIAA and others will then have every right to take it away. Because in this degenerated sence it is stealing, because it is no longer about the benefits of sharing information, it is now only about greed.

Hallefuckingluia...(sorry if that offended anybody) thank you, alacard, I was impressed to see someone taking the time to be humble and appreciative of the awesome tool WE have ALL BEEN AFFORDED. I am new to all of this but I have drawn a conclusion thus far, how lucky am I this is free shit, COOL! But it goes to one fundamental idea:
