Peggy Duquesnel isn't just the director of music at her church in Los Angeles, she's also a successful jazz musician who's released seven albums. Her homey charm and inspiration shines through on her newest release,
Summertime Lullaby.
Duquesnel has been a guest with the Auckland Philharmonic, the Anaheim Angels baseball team, the Mighty Ducks NHL team, the Roland Corporation, Disney, and Kawai America, as well as serving as the adjunct professor of music at Concordia University.
On April 6, 2010, Duquesnel is releasing
Summertime Lullaby, a sweet album dedicated to her husband. The CD contains classics redone in Peggy's adorable style; she shows off her impressive vocal range and her classical piano training. Other songs are Duquesnel's originals, displaying her talent for composing and arranging as well.
The original tracks on
Summertime Lullaby are sensitive and sincere; you can hear for yourself how much Duquesnel has put into writing the lyrics and composing the music. The cover songs, including "Satin Doll" and "Take the 'A' Train", which are arranged in her own style and flow in the perfect way to match the album's theme of love.
