SYRACUSE, NY -- The colorful, but sensational bass guitarist from Syracuse-based fusion rock band is ready to do a solo project as he continues to build on the momentum from Lumination's Bad Reputation EP.

Derrick Whitt's EP, The Maestro, will have an electronic jazz feel as he will put away his four string bass for an synthesized bass. The EP will be released January 2010 under Lulu Publication.

Born Derrick Lovelle Saunders on August 10, 1968 he is the co-founder and composer for Lumination with guitarist Mike Payne. He currently resides in Syracuse, New York.
