We as all of you are completely in shock. The ramifications of what has happened hasn't completely sunk in yet. We're in the process of hunting down some of our loved ones, as we're sure are some of you, as this tragedy occurred very close to where most of our families live.
We are however very optimistically intent on finishing our tour. It seems important not to have your life dictated by twisted fucks bent on dogmatic doctrine. Elected governments are hard enough to take orders from. This whole thing is just too sad to contemplate. Those towers belong to you and me, and they along w/ the lives of so many, have been taken from us. And so we join the President and all of you in this day of national mourning. We appreciate your patience and you have all of our love and faith.

All thoughts and prayers are with you, as with all who are trying to locate loved ones. One day later it is still too horrific to absorb.

Our thoughts, hearts, and prayers will continue to go out to victims and their friends & family, even after the last body is pulled out of the rubble. May God Bless the USA and may we, as Americans, continue to stick together in recovering from this tragedy & bringing swift justice to those parties guilty of this terrible crime.

The first thing I did was put on Blues Traveler, the one thing in this world which allows my feelings to flow so easily. As I listened to Pretty Angry, remembering what John said live about what that song meant, I began to apply his words in various contexts. There are so many challanges we face, and we so often question why fate brings these evils into our lives. I woke up this morning, wishing that it had all been a dream, the song of the moment then, Growing In Dirt from Zygote. I realized that from now on in my life, things will be simple. I will love my music, continue to live by John's words and the words of my other mentors, love and respect my friends, family, and be optimistic of the future. I extend a heartfelt, "I love you" to all fellow travelers, and hope that you and your families are healthy and can live through this great tragedy as comfortable as possible.

This is such a horrible tragedy. I look forward to the Sedona Ecofest this Saturday even more now. I hope the emotions of the day will somehow be eased by the togetherness of the energy and spirit of the event.

I think the one song that needs played at their shows now needs to be "Optimistic Thought." We all need that now.

All are terrified with everything that happened, we hoped everything ends in
peace. We feared a lot to 3rd war, and we prayed for the peace. It will be that those people don't know what is love.
That you find his dear beings and have a lot of peace and love.
I want to all every love and peace.

Australia is behind you 100%. Just remember, there are plenty more of us decent, loving, caring people than those (you said it Johnny) twisted you-know-whats. For those responsible, you WILL get whats coming to you. Justice SHALL prevail.

At a time when an entire nation is at a loss for words, you have said beautifully what so many of us have been thinking of and feeling over the last few days. I am so happy that you are all safe and am keeping you in my thoughts. The best of luck to you in locating your loved ones. John, *maybe a certain Poliwog in your Pocket will bring you the good fortune you need*. God Bless America.
All my love, Sarah

Even during all this tragedy and bloodshed, it has become easy to see that the human spirit prevails over all. All those who have giving donations and giving of themselves, whether it be in the form of blood or labor hours at the site, are truly angels who are out to prove to the world that America remains standing tall. Let's all keep the good works up until the last body is pulled from the wreckage and then storm into war as one nation of peoples standing together to fight a common evil. Let's go into the war with the goal of "kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out."
How about a Blues Traveler benefit concert in Central Park?
God Bless America.

We have a weight to carry
and a distance we must go.
We have a weight to carry,
a destination we can't know.
We have a weight to carry
and can put it down nowhere.
We are the weight we carry
from there to here to there.

I Live in california so i don't quite understand the feelings but i totally realize the damage. We, the people of America should band together help each other out through this time of need and pain. We Americans should and definitely will heal but we should go back to how it was even though this devastated all of our lives. Especially yours in N.Y.

I´m a Brazilian Blues Traveler fan and, like you, I´m still schocked with the terrible acts of Sept.11th, not because I´m a fan of a New Yorker band, but because I´m a human being and no act of violence will make the world a better place to live, be this people from America or from Afghanistan, or any other place in the world.
You from America must hear that there is so much "Anti-American" feeling in the world today. I´m not American, I don´t have any close friend who is American, but I´m with you in your pain, and believe me, all the good people in the world, with good intensions, are along with you.
So,like Lennon said (and John Popper use to sing) let´s imagine a world with no countries, with no religions, just human-beings who have respect for each others.
Maybe this is utopic, but revolutions start with one thought.
Peace.
Daniel Hassegawa
from Brazil.
PS- Blues Traveler, keep America on Rock!
