Texas-sized Music Opportunities
Posted by DMemberNARIPCOM in on June 15, 2009 at 1:16 AM

(Houston, TX June 12, 2009) Everything is big in Texas, including its musical talent, which is why the National Association of Record Industry
Professionals (NARIP) will launch its Houston Chapter here next week. The
launch takes place on Thursday, June 18 at 2038 Monarch Hollow Lane, in
Katy, Texas from 7:30pm-10pm. The event is FREE to attend, though RSVP is
mandatory.

Music professionals in the Lone Star State will have access to an array of
professional career development opportunities, educational programs,
access to top music industry executives, and extensive networking. NARIP also offers a job bank, a member resume database for employers, a mentor
network, a newsletter, and other valuable services.

Barry Coffing, CEO and Founder of MusicSupervisor.com and Uprising
Entertainment, is appointed NARIPs Houston Director. "Texas has always
been a hotbed for artistic and executive talent, and we see enormous
opportunity there. I know of no better person than Barry Coffing to lead
the charge for us in this gunslinger state in our gunslinger industry,"
says NARIP President Tess Taylor. "He's well-connected, highly creative
and astute. We are thrilled to have him on board to grow NARIP in this
important region."

With his professional relationships, especially at major film companies
and TV networks on both coasts, and a strong background in the business as
an executive and successful composer / artist, Mr. Coffing is uniquely
positioned to help NARIP members in Houston identify opportunities in film
and television, and to create and sustain long-term careers in the music
business today.

NARIPs launch will feature 30-second introductions by all present to help
attendees identify and get in front of the people who can make a difference to their business. All are welcome at our launch, you need not be a NARIP member to attend. Please RSVP online at NARIP.com by Wednesday, June 17 at 12:00 noon.
