Just to make this clear: When you use Napigator to access non-Napster run (OpenNap, etc.) servers, you aren't using their Napster's service anymore. When people refer to "Napster" in the news, they generally refer to Napster, Inc.

Use a gnutella clone (Limewire,
Taodnode) and find terrabites and terrabites of songs.
So all the 'No more mp3 crap'
is uterly stupid!

why use Napigator, when you can use Audiognome and get the same results? (access to all the various servers) as well as being able to log into multiple servers at once, and other great options.

same thing happened when sega made their infamous announcement about the dreamcast. funny how there are still double the amount of dreamcasts in the us as ps2's and how killer games continue to come out for it.

The reason no one should use anything else is because then there could be all the songs on the open nap servers instead of having everyone on different programs.USE NAPIGATOR!!!

Hell, why the fuck are you even using Napster??? Not only is it about the shitiest of all those available servers, but they do log ips and all that crap, and will hand them over without needed a warrant. Go out and get a real mp3 program. www.Audiogalaxy.com

why stay on napster servers if they can kick you off if they catch you with copyrighted songs?
isnt it smarter to not risk your account and juts log on to the BETTER and FASTER servers that napigator lists?
duh andy, looks like you're the dumbass.

napigator is the smartest thing to come around since napster originally started.
and i dont see the point of staying with the napster servers if you take the risk of getting your account taken away if they catch you with copyrighted songs. log on to the other servers and have no worries about that.

napster is alive and kicking still. i recommend using napster clients like "my napster" or "win-mx" the one I currently use. these programs conect to thousands of alternative napster servers. its than using he napster program with napigator because you conect to the original napster servers and hundreds of others. if one day the originals die the others will still work. search on yahoo.com for win-mx its a great program that also supports resume

Audiogalaxy is a known spyware program. They send out IP's and other information a HELL of a lot more than Napster ever has or ever will...

Audiogalaxy is the worst. The admins there try to get on private FTP sites and then list them as their own. I do not trust those people (or I think one person , Carrot) one bit. You have been warned. Saty away from them.

i haven't used napster for almost a year now, mainly b/c those IPs have bin banned on the campus's network. I don't miss it either. after i discovered audioGnome it's the only prog i use to get MP3s. napster.com's service and program may die but the protocols and idea still, and will, live on.
there's the facts. thank you and goodnight

JUST WANT to respond to one of the posts i read. How the fuck they gonna log your isp and catch you with copyright songs if you put all your downloaded mp3's in another folder and have it not be available for use. NAPSTER WILL NEVER DIE!!!!!!! because most of the servers you get with Napigator are not centralized and trying to lock them down would like trying to dam a river after it the dam has aready broke. At least from the people ive asked that host the servers like Openap tell me. So the only way they gonna lock down file sharing is completely shut down the internet.

hmmmm..Well if they are banned songs why would they bother to even show up when you do a search. you shouldn't be able to even be able to see them listed. And I move my mp3 downloads to a diff folder after im finished. It doesn't matter if i dont if one of them is banned cause they get moved. My point though is file sharing is here to stay!!!!
Whether Napster gets shut down or not.

Okay, I'll bite. Just call me the house glutton.
Dee, how do ya know you've been banned because of Roy Orbison songs? Have you gotten sump'm in writing. Were you warned 1st? It's my understanding that users are warned before they're banned, and it's kinda hard ta figger bein' banned for 30+-year-old music. I personally have a half dozen Orbison songs in my shared folder and so far nuttin's happened. I would think Napster'd just filter the songs they don't want'cha ta share.

Napster's impending death has to be the biggest non-event since Y2K. I have never had any problem finding anything- and I dont anticipate this changing anytime soon. And that's just tapping into napigator, bearshare, and imesh. What a travesty.

Hey, just wanna say that Napster basically is dead, people are on there purposely searching for mis-spellings and in pig-latin. As for Napigator, 1st it is no "secret", second the servers are over-populated. And for Dee, I just wanna say bearshare just plain sucks. I am an op for Morpheus and other than there being for a few bugs it is the best. Get it at www.musiccity.com or www.cnet.com

first off they have your IP as soon as you log into napster. and they know you have copyrighted songs right away what you dont know tho are what songs are banned or blocked till you log in so watch your mouth. I know how it works I have been banned once before for having a craptallica song and now for roy orbison. you dont know before hand unless you got a damn list of the banned/blocked songs sitting in front of you.
