Cold Cut Review
Posted by HiphopWebbaFied in on March 3, 2009 at 7:34 PM

I love the hard-working people in the music industry. There is something really refreshing about seeing people devote their lives to the challenge- committing to music is a really big move, but we (the avid followers of music) have been fortunate enough to see a few people work really hard and start to see results. Webbafied is one such person. Many months back, I (and may other bloggers) stumbled upon his brilliant concept album Webbafied Does It Justice. A few posts and much publicity later, and Webb was on an Ed Banger boat party in Paris. He met Justice and managed to promote his CD, and things keep moving from there.

Many people would stop to catch their breath. Not Webbafied. Instead, he has continued his work and also started a number of side-projects including Too ManY FisH. Everything I have heard has had me excited- this material is easily better than his previous work, which is saying something. Never Trust You sounds eerily like a souped up version of The Bad Touch from Bloodhound Gang, with some proper lyrics.

The real star, however, is Subway Girl. Webbafied and Molecule just gel so damn well on this song- the production is what I want to hear from now on, as it really brings out the best. Webb has a real way with words- you need not look any further than Webbafied Justice to see that he was able to bring out another side of the album, working out what each song was really about

I wish Webbafied all the best, and I hope you will all take a long hard listen to his project. Its really not worth missing.
