We know a lot of people here have some great ideas for DMusic. We also know a lot of you are good with computers. That's why we're starting an open project sign up via Google Docs. We will post open projects at http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pwmdjDMrQyW0IM6_aO1TpFg . When you see a project that piques your interest, sign up for it and give it a shot.

Here are the rules:

If you see a project you'd like to work on:
1. Add your DMusic username under the "Claimed by"
2. Email "projects@dmusic.com" to say what you want to work on and if you need any assistance (i.e. parts of code.)
3. Use the "Notes" Column to document your steps.
4. If there is a project that you want to work on, but is already claimed, add your name to the "Backup Team" Column and you might be contacted for that.
5. Do not delete anyone off-- If you think you could do better than someone who has claimed something, email projects@dmusic.com. Only Leflaw and Tracy reserve the right to kick someone off of a project.
6. It's ok to sign up for something if you can only do part of it. (i.e. suppose you find a new flash player that would be great for the site, but can't implement it. Sign up for that project, add what you have done in the notes column.)

Have a suggestion? Add it to the "Suggestions" sheet tab at the bottom of the document.

"Only Leflaw and Tracy reserve the right to kick someone off of a project."

(For those who don't know, Tracy is Leflaw's daughter folks!)

DMUSIC is a "Mom & Pop" operation (IT IS NOT CORPORATE!)

The MOMENT Mr. Feldman "gives up" and sells DMusic (thereby ABANDONING the more than 20,000 artists here...)

When that very impossible day occurs...

I would then (and ONLY then) let myself LOOSE faith forever in mankind.

===============

My morals will allow me to work with and/or "deal" with a COMPANY...

But, NEVER with a "corporation"

leflaw has ALWAYS been an "LLC" (Limited Liability Company"

SURE, he has MANY times been ripe for the RIAA/MPAA/etc. to come in and buy him out...

BUT,

(And I want folks to UNDERSTAND and GROK this...)

HE ALWAYS TELLS THEM ASSHOLES "NO"

Get the word out beyond our four walls then.

I wouldn't allow everyone to edit the "claimed" section though... Laughing My Arse Off
