AWSOME! (Is my tune on there? If so, it is my first "commercial" release beyond just burning CD's and trying to sell/give 'em away at shows and online.)

A "cherry" 4 me if!

(And, if not yet, I am SUPER HAPPY/ENTHUSED about this project! AWSOME tunes on there from many of DMusic's best!)

...I think I have listened joyfully each and every "candidate" song that was submitted multiple times without thinking there was a stinker in the bunch!

Amazon at least let me listen to a :30 sec clip. without "log-on/join" demands.

Buying my copy from there.

(I'd like a free copy too, but I want to "test the buying experience" from the "consumer side".)

lol, since I have extra incentive in this instance to purchace and all...

So far it looks like only the downloads are up/available for sale.

I know you will let us know when the CD's are up for sale (and how/where to get them!)

I can't wait for something in my hands!!!

(Any chance for a limited edition run of this album on vinyl??? Maybe just a few copies each for the contributing artists? http://www.urpressing.com/ is the "big" vinyl press plant still alive in the usa.)

leflaw, you could do as few as 300 copies, give each of us contributing artists 5 or 10 copies each (or even just 1) and sell the rest.

(But, the hoops you gotta jump thru, ESPECIALLY with a cover album, might make it too much of a task.

...although, you ALREADY did all the copyright clearances and stuff obviously!)

hint, hint!

:) (Smile)

-----

But, even if you don't want to fool with all that "vinyl" stuff (at my hint/request)

...don't worry. I am not "demanding" it.

JUST suggesting.

(I think it would actually WORK. Even profitably!)

lol

I'll shut up now.

Just "over-reaching" (as I always tend to do.)

lol, you know me by now.

Good stuff Larry. I am impressed at your support of this project, and the quality of the music is excellent. I've seen a lot of talk and ideas for various projects, but very little follow through in the Dmusic forums in the past 18 months, so the end product becoming available here is very good news. If I ever get any spare cash, will drop some on the CDs.

1o1rocks,

Be SURE to give leflaw/DMusic your current mailing address.

You are gonna get many copies (...AND "royalties" if this damn thing actually sells!)

While you are on that--

I think in light of the economy tanking and Dmusic still running, we have decided to give a small advance ($50 ) via paypal, to all the participants in MeatDbeatles. Consider it an advance against future earnings (I hate the word "royalties", unless His or Her majesty is involved).

To get the advance, simply EMAIL Leflaw(at)dmusic.com with the subject line MEATDBEATLES ADVANCE,

with your legal name, screen name,
mailing address and song title in the email, and we will paypal you $50.

I know some of you hate paypal, but it really makes life easy for us accounting and cost wise. You might at well get used to it. I've used payal for transactions over $5,000 and have paid bills with it.

BTW, this one time advance is for all listed collaborators, so I have saved you all the hassle of subdividing the $50 and distributing it to your "band". So a three collaborator track gets three advances, or $150. Maybe its unfair, but consider it a Dmusic thank you to all involved rather than a royalty payment. We didn't promise an advance, but we want to do it anyway.

MUAHHA! It works.:) (Smile)

for now at musicpill you'll see a scary msg about unsigned certificates, which is because we're using a self-signed certificate for now (until we receive our signed one...hopefully very soon..the request has been paid for and sent in).

Wow! I am floored. Floored to have my song included and floored to recieve an advance on it. Or whatever it is. Holy crap. Aside from a recent donation, and odd change thrown at me on the street, this is the first time I have ever recieved money from my music in any way shape or form. Well there was this one chick who had her husband give me a hundred bucks, but I am not sure if that was actually for the music... But I digress.

Count me in on future projects, Grateful Dead is on the list, and I can definately do that. Doors is not on the list but I can do that too lol.

leflaw, that advance money you gave to each of us shows a HUGE touch of "class" on your part.

When you multiply that "advance money" by the number of us who worked on this project, I fear you might take a loss, (at least in the short term on sales!)

You sir, are a truly one-of-a-kind!

Thank you (even WITHOUT the very nice and unexpected "advance") for making all this possible!
