In case y’all weren’t aware as of yet, DMusic now has added a link(www.dmusic.com/music/country/,Country) section to its link(www.dmusic.com/music/,Music) department. If you’re a country music lover, then you’ll be happy to know you now have a place to go to listen to the genre. If you’ve never been a fan of country music before, come give it a try anyway. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that, while it’s got plenty to keep the normal country fan interested, it’s not just made up of the traditional kind of country you’re used to hearing.
Led by link(users.dmusic.com/-willow-,-willow-), aka Gina Dicker, DMusic has set up a fine Country section to complement its Music department. The quality of music at DMusic has always been of the highest calibre, and the new country area is no exception. The list of rising stars is growing rapidly, and -willow- goes to great lengths to feature up-and-coming artists that will appeal to quite a wide range of tastes. Via her show, dubbed Ryman Bound — after the famous Ryman Auditorium, a wishful destination for any musician who steps foot in Nashville — and her very descriptive reviews, she not only drives the country department at DMusic but makes it a very exciting experience. “I have been listening to a vast amount of independent country artists,” says Gina, “and have found some extraordinary talent to play and review for you.”
So, rest assured, if you’re expecting the same old country, you’re in for a rude but welcome awakening. As our one and only -willow- so eloquently urges, “Even if country ain’t your thang, give it a try; you may be pleasantly surprised at the vocal talent being offered.”
