Her voice is great, and she has a steady rhythm guitar technique. I think a good producer could really take her songs to the next level.

I kinda hate to mention this, but the world is what it is -- if she looked like Chan Marshall or Jenny Lewis she'd probably be signed to the majors.

I was impressed that Ian Matthews sang harmony for her. Cool.

I have checked postage costs to the US: €5,52 euros.
The new EP (200 + postage cost = €12,52 euros.
That is probably still cheaper then buying it from CDbaby.

I also have 'The Keshri Transition (2001) still for sale, about 15 left. "The acoustic noise-duo Keshri; Elly Kellner & Andra Veraart started out in 1999 and recorded this full-length CD in 2001. Comes in a jewelcase with lyrics and coverart." I don't think any new copies of those will be made and I can ofcourse sign that for you if you like. This CD is selling for €10 euros.

My own personal paypal account was woe-fully low. (I had enough to send her only $5) and told her NOT to send me any CD's yet. I told her to consider the $5 as a tip and nothing more.

Elly is a superb artist actually and has made some excellent music available here in the past at Dmusic.

Although I wanted to buy a CD from her a while back by paypal and she said she didn't have time to mail it from the UK. Which was a pity.

Your thread made me smile!!! And I feel flattered, I didn't know this positiveness was going on behind my back Didn't know it excisted.

Shmoo, you funny dude, I think you're right about interpreting the lyrics of artists. Once the artist starts to explain things they sometimes mess up with my own interpretation of a song. "Brain is so oh oh" means an awfull thing to me but I won't go into explaining it precisely. Just that I try to remind myself that I'm a good person even if I don't achieve or do anything. We're all stars, you don't have to be or do anything special! As a reminder I've tattoed two stars on my arm and hand too.
