anyone know how they work? is in unique streams from diff IP or unique from any other than self? is it DL's to? full/partial plays? any other meta data used?

I'm glad everyone likes the new charts.
Distilled1: it's some kind of alchemy involving the number of listens from unique IP addresses. Yes, it includes downloads/streams/etc. It's a fairly complex system taking into account a number of different factors.
Leflaw: I think it'd be cool to have the main charts on the front page. It'd add more music to the front page. It's nice having some news articles there as well. Maybe we can somehow find room for both? Let me know.

I think front page is where they should be maybe move the shoutbox, and place 1 or 2 news bits there with a link to the news main page? and keep the featured news on the front page... oh hell I am talking redesign  |
