UK based pioneering radio station Glastonbury Radio will feature the DMusic number 1 hit Mellosonic Radio by Rodrica Rudge and Mellosonic.

Glastonbury Radio, which is part-owned by ex-BBC man Ross Hemsworth, is situated in the town of Glastonbury, England. The town is synonymous with the outdoor annual music festival organized by Michael Eavis and is often considered to be the UK music scenes spiritual home.

Glastonbury Radio has an international audience and ordinarily plays music from signed artists. However, one of the stations most popular D.J., Mark Ellis, is always on the lookout for new talent and will feature Mellosonic Radio by Rodrica Rudge and Mellosonic (aka Chris J. Brown) on his independent artists slot in his show called Roots & Branches during week commencing May 19th 2008.

Says Rodrica: ark Ellis discovered my music and featured me in his show last year which was a great honor. Since hearing the station for the first time Ive been a huge fan. They are not afraid to be different. There is a mix of old and new, some long lost tracks, unusual songs and familiar favorites, plus a variety of interesting subjects and chat. I was in fact listening to Mark Ellis 60s music show when I had the inspiration to write the lyrics for Mellosonic Radio. The song turned out to be a tribute to both Glastonbury Radio and all those D.J.s who have kept me company via the airwaves or internet over the years.

Mellosonic has been a sound engineer for 25 years, writing for TV/movies and teaching all aspects of audio/visual production. He wrote/performed the music backing tracks for Mellosonic Radio, while Rodrica Rudge wrote/performed the melody, lyrics and vocals. The song has received much attention on the internet so far, and as usual, DMusic was one of the first music sites to recognize the potential and popularity of the song.

Thanks for your support guys! And thanks Tracy for sorting out the text - I think it was an apple mac peculiarity, lol!

Gotta thank Mark Ellis at Glastonbury Radio for all his support of independent artists...and of course my good friend Mello for coming up with such a great track to work on.
