DMusic Rocks!!! we are definitely moving for-freakin-ward (that is me getting excited about moving forward).
We fixed a lot of bugs in March. Let me add a little public thanks to the private thanks I have been heaping on Jack, ERM, and Wendy. Jack, ERM, and Wendy are three of the finest people I have had the pleasure of working with. They are doing a great job keeping DMusic alive and kicking. Also, Sidd, our linux and network guru, (who is an actual rocket scientist.) I also have major respect, as always, for Tracy and LeFlaw for not getting frustrated and shooting us. And Distilled1 and Shadowmom, our DM DJ's.
For everyone who wants to know if their data is safe going forward. I can tell you that we ARE making back-ups In fact Iam looking at a replica of DMusic that Wendy made on a 750 gig Maxtor drive. A few other things that got fixed:
1. New monster servers monitored 24/7 for faster performance and better uptime. Much RAM. (16 gigs per server) Isn't the site faster!!!!
2. Fixed a bug with the buddy list, so now you can see which of your friends are currently online.
3. Brand new versions under the covers: Newest Debian OS, Newest PHP, Newest MYSQL
4. Fixed the shoutbox time display to display relative time
5. Fixed bugs on the artist pages
6. Fixed the new subscriber emails
7. Fixed the file uploader (but I'm not happy with it)
8. Fixed some code on the admin side so that we can feature artists easier
9. Installed bug tracking software so next report I will really know what we fixed
10. Recovered lost mp3 filles and gifs from September 2006 till present ( awaiting delivery of data from data center)
Here are a few things that I am working on right now.
1. We are creating a synchronization process so that DMusic is available from multiple systems. This should give us near instantaneous recovery should we experience another hardware malfunction like the last one.
2. We are fixing the lists that appear for each genre. I don't know whats up with this or why it is taking so long to fix but it is at the top of the list now. Please continue to be patient. Please keep uploading all that AMAZING indy music and, please, I have one more request:
Please send money (we already have lawyers and guns). Yes, we need subscription money, donations, advertisers, and any other kinda relationship that results in us getting money.

You are the best musicians. I don't even listen to the radio anymore. I love the sounds on DMusic too much. Please continue to help and guide one another, and Keep the bug notices coming.
