It has long since been accepted that the town of Glastonbury, England, is the spiritual home for the UK's music scene. Famous for the annual Glastonbury Music Festival hosted by Michael Eavis, the town is both a musical hub and a place of great mystical and spiritual history. Glastonbury Radio endeavors to encompass all these aspects with its wide variety of programming and carefully selected music.
The station is co-owned by ex-BBC radio presenter and TV show host Ross Hemsworth together with local outspoken and controversial businessman Jules Bending. Their enthusiasm and originality is the driving force behind the station and they are supported by a team of inventive show hosts.
One such show host is Ross Hemsworth's brother, Mark Ellis. Mark is not only a successful touring musician in his own right (headlining shows across Europe), but has recently been voted favorite radio presenter.
Although the station primarily plays material by signed artists, Mark Ellis is always on the lookout for new and interesting talent. It was Mark who discovered Rodrica Rudge's music on the web and decided to feature her on his show on December 1st 2007.
Says Rodrica: "I'm very excited about all this. To be featured on a radio station that plays so many music legends and high profile signed artists is the biggest compliment I could wish for. I'm honored and flattered to find myself in their company! Moreover, I'm pleased that Mark Ellis has introduced me to Glastonbury Radio - it's a pioneering and hugely entertaining station. I'm a regular listener now!"
The station can be streamed using a variety of options to the right of their main web page or you can call up past episodes by using their "listen again" page.

'Although the station primarily plays material by signed artists, Mark Ellis is always on the lookout for new and interesting talent."
This "station" would then be acting in its' OWN best interest if it promoted this Mark Ellis chap to the position of production manager (or above.)

Hi guys!
Just wanted to say that I heard the first show this morning - Mark Ellis did a fantastic job - Thanks Mark, for discovering my music and for the best feature I could wish for! I found myself in the same show as Robert Plant, Muddy Waters, The Beach Boys and George Harrison. Awesome!!
(The show will be repeated Sun Dec 2nd at 7 p.m., Mon Dec 3 at 11 a.m., Tues Dec 4th at 11 p.m. and Wed Dec 5th at 2 p.m. - UK GMT time).
