I watched it ONLY because I was hoping feverishly that she would screw up! I feel the same way about Britney that MOAM feels about Paris Hilton!!!
What a delight! Not only did she screw up, but she screwed up beautifully!!!

The only thing that diminishes my joy at her total idiocy is the fact that all the critics are calling her fat. Now granted, she's a far cry from what she looked like four years ago, but FAT?!?! Come on!!! Only in our twisted society is a size 6 fat! JEEZ!!!

Britney's problem is that she just don't give a damn about being a good performer. She can "phone it in" (or, in this case, send it in by snail-mail) and it doesn't fucking matter. She's STILL gonna get press and be the subject of the water cooler.
Hell, she doesn't even NEED to be any good because the the f**king media is STILL gonna waste a lot of airtime talking about her and keeping the little tramp in the spotlight rather than featuring new and/or independent artists.
God, I hate mega-pop stars.

And, I hate myself, and all of you for even talking about her right now.
To FIX this problem our society has with less than deserving "artists" getting all the attention is to boycott and ignore them.
Let's shut the f**K up about 'em already!

Oh come on people. It was her first televised performance in years. Not only was she nervous about it being 'her big comeback' but her confidence hasn't been the same since Kevin.
She does care about being a good performer, but it's a lot more difficult for her now that she doesn't have the backing she once had with her label.
The real problem is how the media, although they claim that her career is over and that she's a horrible mom (though a year before she was the perfect mom and Kev was the asshole) and that she'll never get her glory back, they just can't shut up about her. every week, you will find something on Spears, weather doing something outlandish or grocery shopping.
and who says she's fat? Who's the blind imbecile who thinks that what they saw at the VMA's was fat?? Well jeez, let's lock up her fridge and wait a few months so that the media can criticize her about this mother of two's anorexia.
I think it's this constant criticism that should drive Brit to try harder to achieve her goal. She may have a large mountain to climb, and it may time lots of time, and soul searching, but I think once she returns back up to the top, she'll have a renewed appreciation for it that she didn't have at first.
So... Why am I defending Britney? (I'm hoping she reads this and want to come over and 'gimmie more')
