For the past five years our local music scene has featured a contest for local musicians, composers and artists. Each year 9 finalists are chosen from all submissions. The finalists are then featured on a local radio station and voting for favorites is conducted online and through our local press.

All finalists take part in a concert at the Newberry Opera House with the winner headlining the concert and receiving studio time and a gift certificate for a music store as well as professional photo shoots.
