Muskiewicz started his research interviewing several fans who saw Presley's open casket before the funeral. Many of them were convinced that the body on display was not Presley. They described a waxy appearance, misshapen nose and unnatural sideburns. That's not to mention the numerous 'Elvis sightings' that have graced tabloid covers for the past 29 years.
Muskiewicz has also talked to many of the King's close friends, his personal physician, a man who robbed Presley's grave at Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn. and even the mayor of Kalamazoo, Mich., where a large number of those tabloid Elvis sightings have been reported. The film is scheduled for release next August, on the 30th anniversary of Elvis' presumed death.
Two brand new DVDs have just been released that capture Elvis' most magical performances -- 'The '68 Comeback Special' and 'Aloha From Hawaii.' And if you're looking for trouble, this classic '68 comeback performance proves you're in the right place.
