First Ever 120 GB Digital Audio Player
Posted by AdminMrXero in on February 28, 2006 at 3:27 AM

Wolverine has just unveiled the latest addition to their MVP line of kid-designed (we're just guessin') portable media players. The MVP 9120 comes loaded with a 120GB drive, which Wolverine says makes it the largest-capacity portable media player on the market at the moment. The unit also includes a 7-in-1 memory card reader and has video out so you can connect it to a projector or TV. It's also apparently the only device on the market that'll work with 33 different RAW-type camera files with EXIF information -- which may be enough for some to put up with the rather unique choice of colors. The device also comes with all the necessary cables, a remote control, an ear piece and a carrying case with a built-in speaker. Total cost: $599.

'Freak, 120 GBs?? The NeoNote... my HP laptop, only has 40 GBs, and I create and produce music AND this laptop is running Windows XP Media Center 2005 edition... that's just gluttony. That's like software programmers (like AOL) making bloated, over-sized programs that eat up RAM simply because it's avalible.

With more and more devices like this, it's no wonder people are developing better compression codecs and file formats... 'freakin' gluttony. I can’t wait until the day it’ll take 1.5 gigabits of RAM to load up your e-mail program or to play an MP3 file.

"gimme a laptop that size Please?"
Hey Chillin'... already done, baby. Introducing the only device better than a Pocket PC... an OQ-motha'-lovin'-O!! OQO http://www.oqo.com/

Now you may drool... (The day Reason can run on one of these smoothly, I'm gettin' one!)

world's smallest Windows XP computer
The OQO model 01+ ultra personal computer (uPC) is a fully-featured Windows XP computer. The OQO has a 1GHz processor, a 30GB hard drive, 512MB of RAM, a color transflective display, and integrated wireless, as well as FireWire and USB ports

Not only is it the same size as the device above... slightly bigger than a Pocket PC but a smaller than a Portable Media Center thing... but it's sexy as hell.

(didn't think this kinda' stuff had anything to do with BC-RIAA, but considering the article's posted... I guess it does)

I actually have one of these but it's silver...www.vosonic.com 6230. It's a little large but their target audience isn't the mp3 player market it's more so the digital camera market (To make backups of SD Cards,Videos etc). While it certainly isn't small it does practically everything and you can buy the thing pretty inexpensive minus the hdd.

Video formats-Mov,Divx,mp4 with aac,Xvid, mpeg 1,Mpeg 2, Audio Formats-Wav,mp3,WMA,AAC, Photo-Jpg,Gif,Tiff,BMP,and of course the txt. It actually sells pretty well amongst the digital camera circles.
