DMusic.com is proud to announce a new partnership with podcastSPOTS.com - the best part about this? It puts money into the artists pockets!
What is PodcastSPOTS all about?
The PodcastSPOTS model lets a podcaster and musician share in the revenue from advertising. With PodcastSPOTS’ proprietary insertion system, ads surround artists’ songs when included in a podcast. Additionally, the site lets artists and podcasters work out other deals. For instance, a songwriter can earn money from commercial-free downloads of their songs and pay the podcaster that aired their song, all, some, or none of that revenue. Alternately, a podcaster could pay an artist for the right to play their song in their podcasts. There’s even a rating system that helps podcasters and listeners find the most-liked music.
“We built a site that lets podcasters insert audio ads and podsafe music into their podcasts, and get paid on a per-click basis, per-insert basis, or a variety of other methods, and we made it super simple to use”, said Mark Kanter, co-founder of PodcastSPOTS.
How does DM come in? Are you guys stealing my money you son of a...
No DM is not cutting into any of our artists fees whatsoever. We brokered the deal so that DM artists make exactly as much as any artist on PodcastSPOTS.
Great, So How Do I Sign Up?
Go to your artist administration area, down on the left-hand side click on Paypal Options, fill in your Paypal e-mail address and select "Yes" to allow DM to send your material to PodcastSPOTS and then as your tracks are chosen you will see payments appear in your Paypal accounts.
No way, this isn't for me!
No problem, you don't need to do anything - all artists are opted out by default. If you don't trust me, go ahead check your artist administration area.
Let me guess, this is subscriber-only right, you money-grubbing...
No, it's for EVERYONE.

I'm always skeptical, but I'll try it out. (I can always "uncheck" the podcastSPOTS option later I assume?)

I have 51 cents now!
I added my own also though as I can't find them on the site.
I am thinking of using this to do my podcast although I am not sure I like the interface that you need to use to insert promos and ads, I have to play with it some more but its real goofy!
I like my propaganda
Do we have DMusic ad spots up there
