eJamming is a web-based connection that allows anyone with a MIDI instrument (drums, guitars, keyboards, wind controllers, etc.) to play with one another with a minimum of latency (15-70ms) based on location. We have had jam sessions from Miami, FL to London with about 70ms delay, which is easily adapted to.
If you would like to read more about eJamming you can peruse their website at www.eJamming.com, or even watch the product demo. eJamming is offering the free beta version for Mac OSX users right now, and will introduce the PC version in early November.

...cool.
The only problem would be, of course, the delay. And the sound quality, perhaps. But, if the video is an actual representation of what this product is capable of, it's impressive, to say the least.

That, and the twenty bucks a month. But that sure as hell is cheaper than plane tickets to London.

I have been testing eJamming for the past few months, and I would say that it is the best technology I have seen in a long time. A few weeks ago, I had a jam session with people stationed at North Carolina, New York, London, and Israel...and I'm from LA. There were some latency issues at first, but we were able to adjust them quickly and commence with the jamming. Tell all your friends to get behind this thing...it's gonna change the world very soon.
