DMusic Podcasts!

DM is very happy to announce DM Podcasts! Now you, yes, you can have your very own Podcast! I'm not sure how many more exclamation points I can put in this first paragraph!

sorry...

So you've probably heard about Podcasting by now, if not here's a great little blurb explaining it. This is a Basic Subscription feature. DM wanted to provide our artists with yet another marketing tool to promote themselves, and Podcasting was an easy choice for us.

To turn your own Podcast on, head to your artist admin area, file manager and you will see links next to your tracks to add them to your Podcast. Next you'll want to publish the Podcast (you'll see a link after you add the first track). Now after you've made your podcast, you can go to your artist page and see a new section on the left side...Spread the tunes! with a link below saying My Podcast. (To see an example, you can visit my artist page .

Big thanks to fu-dog for doing the nerdery on this one - great job Joe!

Ok, sounds cool I guess. So a *.rss is an Ipod file? And what, you download this into your ipod? Sorry I’m SO uncool---see----cool isn’t even cool anymore.

This is still a very confusing concept to me... Thinking
What exactly happens after we add our tracks to a "Podcast"?
And what are we supposed to do with other people's podcast files?... Cause I've never seen a .rss file before... Suspicious
I'm pretty good with computers... and if I can't figure this stuff out... I know a lot of other people are lost as well.
