The hip new theater company, AYTB (As Yet To Be) has tapped the creative genius of music producer/songwriter, M.C. Spice, responsible for the hit, "Good Vibrations" which put Hollywood hunk Mark Wahlberg in the big leagues. M.C. Spice was the brain behind the creative decisions and most of the writing and producing on the actor's debut album for Interscope Records (1991) including the follow up smash hit, "Wild Side," a smooth cover of Lou Reid's classic rock hit.

AYTB Theater Company produced a night of one acts in Boston early November at the Stuart Street Playhouse to a well attended audience, where Spice showcased his acting skills as 'Patrick' in the play 'Tarnished.' AYTB's move to include Spice on the board of directors is a bold new move, as the company plans to target the younger audience through hip, guerilla marketing tactics. Spice's promotions and marketing expertise spans over 17 years, and the veteran music producer's 'street team' marketing has been utilized by the likes of Clear Channel, Nex Communications and the International Hair Show at the Expo Center last month.

"We want to promote theater to the 18-34 demographics the same way we promote the hot new rap record and the same way we promote to the night club culture," says M.C. Spice of AYTB's plans to bridge the culture gap between night clubbers and theater goers. Look for AYTB's production of the play, "Wigger" at the Piano Factory in February. The play touches on the life of a teen ridiculed by family and friends over his connection to Hip-Hop and Urban culture and lifestyle and looks subtle racism smack dab in the face.
