Our love affair with dead rock stars never ends. In some instances, like in the case of the legendary guitar man Jimi Hendrix, it continues to grow with each passing year.

Up until this point, before watching this gripping and thought provoking video, I thought Hendrix died by choking on his own vomit. It seems there is a lot more to the ending of this man’s life. A series of events unfolded to form a dark and suspicious veil over his life and the occurrence of his death.

The music of Hendrix, recognized primarily through four studio albums, then countless bootlegs and unreleased material, is a cash cow that has been unrelenting. There seems to be an endless supply of unreleased material coming from Jimi’s estate over the past few years. Hendrix must have lived in the studio to have this much in the can. His popularity has not waned one iota, this DVD may change the views of many and open up new investigations into his demise.

Jimi loved the rock star life and he was all about consuming the benefits of being in the public eye. He always had plenty of sex and drugs, and this scenario was emphasized throughout the run of this DVD. It seems Hendrix was supportive of the Black Panthers when they were rising up to create a stir in America. The government did not want rich rock stars funneling money to a group that threatened the status quo and the sovereignty of our nation (or so it was perceived at the time), thus the CIA made their ties with the Mafia’s drug cartel to learn more about Jimi’s habits and created an ongoing profile of his daily life. Not one person has stepped forward in over 35 years since Jimi’s death to claim that they were with him when he died; therefore, the conclusion reached in a series of interviews with people that knew Jimi is that he was murdered in order to squelch the Black Panthers rise to power.

I found all of this fascinating and I had no idea the life of Hendrix was so complicated. Those close to him said that he knew he was going to die. He was a shooting star that burned out much too soon; however, it seems as though he set himself up for everything that happened. Everything about this DVD could be fact or fiction; it is your choice to make. I promise you this, if watch this you will never look at this music legend’s life the same, I guarantee it.

I read a book that was about the misheard lyrics of tunes...i.e., what people THOUGHT a singer was saying on a song, and the misheard lyrics were often more entertaining that the real lyrics. I recally that on the Hendrix tune that includes the line 'Scuse me while I kiss the sky....this listener had thought he was saying "'Scuse me while I kiss this guy" and was singing that line every time he heard the tune....

Certainly changes your interpretation of the song.

Hendrix was great...and , he served in the military as a paratrooper...

I have a "sometimes" feeling that someone with loose ties or sympathies to the Nixon administration did him in (along with Janis Joplin and possibly even Jim Morrison and Mama Cass.) But it is also very likely their own excesses killed them. They were all visionary and high profile artists whom we will miss.

Ohh, I just love conspiracy theories! Especially when they involve the CIA and the Mafia’s drug cartel! Jimi was awesome and I too had always believed the choking story about his death. If this were true, I’d love to hear the rest of the story. I just don’t want to see Oliver Stone get his hands into it!

What about "Louie, Louie"? One of the few songs proven in court to be so unintelligible that no one could figure out if it was obscene or not.

dateline 25 may 2112 - It seems that Multi Billionaire rock star Insane Wayne was pumping millions of dollars into a few sites ran by hackers known as Dmusic.com and boycott-riaa.com. This leds us to believe he may not have been gunned down by the organization of Mothers Against Drunk Rockers in 2045 but a secret conspiracy between the RIAA and the CIA may have been Insane Wayne's downfall.
