I don't see how Edwards can attack the Bush-Cheney administration on the thoroughness of their airplane terror watch list when just weeks ago, they apprehended that major threat, Cat Stevens.
Right now, there are special forces circling and close to capturing Don McClean (American Pie) who is in a spider hole somewhere near the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame penning a new album.
That thing could drop any day unless he's stopped, and this time, there could be more than A THOUSAND verses. Let's all pray, no matter who wins.

I respect Cheney's response about not having further political aspirations beyond being vice president, and that is an advantage in terms of not having any further political agenda beyond the care of this country. But...he already is the president, no? "

Damn, I wish I could see my tv and my computer screen at the same time....as Steve Earle says, "'The Revolution Starts Now." Cheney kept trying to make the point that SHOULD something happen to the president, the vice president would be in control. Let's see ... a bitter, negative warmonger, or someone who still has the shine of belief in a better tomorrow... out with the old, in with the new!!!!!
On a more serious note, I'm still trying to figure out if Cheney said anything positive, or did it seem like he spent all his time attacking Edwards? I've been watching the Senate and the House on C-Span a lot lately, and I don't see anybody who has a right to brag about their attendance record--most of the time there's nobody there but Teddy Kennedy--but he makes me proud he's a Kennedy. Every day he gives the Republicans hell about something. Makes my day....

|

If we elect a president on how he talks, I got news for you, bud, George loses hands down. Sometimes I'm not even sure he's speaking the English language. And accents have nothing to do with it. Dubya slaughters the English language almost every time he opens his mouth. If you disagree with Edwards, you better find something with a little more substance. That's just stupid.
|
YoItsDeluxSon
|
Date: October 6, 2004 @ 12:35 AM
It must take some interpretation of the english language to confuse Cheney with Bush, did i mention Bush? hawhat, no? Oh, i was just responding to Code's inevitable jab at Cheney's pronunciation of the word "terror" despite the fact that John Edwards cant even pronounce the I Vowel.
|
ShadowMom
|
Date: October 6, 2004 @ 12:43 AM
Yeah, it does take some interpretation--but I stand by my premise--if you want to discuss slaughtering the language, why not go for the jugular? The "I Vowel" or the "Whole Sentence?" Which would you prefer? And it is English, not english. Who are you voting for, Cheney or Bush? I will give you this; Cheney can at least put together a cogent sentence--Dubya evidently cannot. Your turn.

His best part was that little story at the end...but, except for that, I thought it was a "C" overall.

to choose between the lesser of the two evils is the way this goes.
do you really want 4 years of Kerry-Edwards (Mr Big-Head and his Flip-Flop politics and Mr Ambulance Chaser?)
Yes, Edwards was an Ambulance Chaser. some of the verdicts in North Carolina that went his way are the cause of why my health insurance rates in NC are higher while the benefits are lower.
You really want a man in the white house/president pro tempore of the senate that wants to make as much money off the little guy as possible ? (Edwards)
You really want a man in the White House whose politics are so wishy-washy (documented) that we could end up thinking he will be the champion of p2p with compulsory licensing one week and the next signs the INDUCE act into law.
No thanks.
I am not a big fan of the Bush Administration, but I really dont want Kerry in the white house, either.
Could anyone imagine what Gore's response to 9-11 would have been ?
remember he conceded the race to Bush, and then decided to fight it the next day. (Democratic Flip-Flop)
Do we really want Democratic - Flip-Flops in the white house Now? Clinton did NOTHING after the first WTC attack, even though they knew and had strong evidence that Osama was behind that one. Bush stood up and kicked some a**. Clinton just wanted another cute Intern.
and Cryxan, this has everything to do with the music business and boycott-riaa. This will decide if we finally will get some business done one way or the other in the next 4 years or not.. These people as well as the Senate/House races determine our laws.

Cheney lied openly saying this was the first time he met Edwards...the two had met twice before!

I watched the entire debate. They both used some numbers to support their attacks. Edwards seemed a little caught off guard. Cheney seemed amused. Sometimes Edwards came off as too rehearsed. Cheney, too smug.
I was distracted by the muffled sound of Cheney's voice. His microphone was placed too low on his tie. He kept hunching over, covering the mic with his jacket, and wringing his hands. I found it annoying. When Cheney spoke, Edwards was shown drinking water, writing, and reacting. Cheney wasn't shown in the split screen as often and that's what made Bush look bad in the last debate.

Cheney is a snake.
Cheney has this air of malevolence about him. He's like Mr. Freeze or the Penguin in a Batman movie.
I think Edwards could have called him out more on the lying & Haliburton among other things. Cheney didn't even turn red. He explained the Haliburton allegation simply as a cloud of mist or smokescreen. Cheney and Condoleeza Rice were both called out yesterday on having knowledge that the aluminum tubes found in Iraq were not suited towards making a nuclear weapon, yet they lied and used that in their plug to go to war. Condi even got furious that she was even questioned about her lying and offered no apologies.
Paul Bremer concurred that the war was not well planned and Donald Rumsfeld admitted no links to Al-Quaida this week, contradicting what he said in Sept. of 2002. There was all sorts of fodder in the recent news for Edwards to use to go after Cheney. (Let's hope Kerry uses it on Friday)
Cheney was cool and smooth, but deceptive. On education, he mentioned their "no child left behind" policy. Many who don't know what a failure that program has been might have been impressed.
I thought Stem Cell Research should have been brought up when the question arose having to do with health care.
I hate listening to the post debate spin. CNN had an idiot supporting Cheney's efforts and he misquoted Edwards, stating that Edwards said there are Al-Quaida members from 60 countries in Iraq. This Bush backer said, that right there, if there are Al-Quaida members from 60 countries in Iraq tells you that it was necessary to go into Iraq. When, what Edwards really said was that Al- Quaida members are in 60 countries and he asked did Cheney plan to invade those countries too?
So this old idiot commenting on the speech did not take notes and made a huge misquote and no one corrected him.
I wanted to call in, but knew there'd be no getting through.
Because Cheney is clearly the brains behind the Bush administration it makes Bush look like a cloud a smoke saying, "I'm the great & powerful Oz, ...just ignore the gray haired man behind the curtain."
Cheney is not that popular and people won't like knowing he's the brains and their presidential candidate is an idiot.

Cheney should have made a knock out with this debate. He didn't. He is suppose to be that big strong man that will knot you off your feet. Where was it. He lost his chance last night. I kept hearing how strong Cheney is and he would chew you up and spit Edwards out he didn't. Edwards stood up to Cheney and stood strong. It just goes to show Cheney is not strong. He may be a mean old man but that's it. And I sure wouldn't want him around my grandbabies. They would be scared to death of him. Americans better be the same run from him now before you lose what's left of your freedom.

"Truth first casualty of Cheney debate style
ANTONIA ZERBISIAS
It's a wonder that millions of TV screens didn't shatter as U.S. Vice-President Dick Cheney's nose poked right through them last night. Just as he has in many, if not all, of his TV appearances since the terror attacks of 9/11, Cheney lied again during his 90-minute debate with Democratic vice-presidential contender, North Carolina Senator John Edwards.
Cheney even lied about lying about Iraq's supposed stores of weapons of mass destruction, Saddam Hussein's supposed ties to Al Qaeda, and just about everything else in this supposed "war on terror" — not to mention the illicit activities of Halliburton, the oil field supply corporation he used to run in the 1990s.
"The senator has got his facts wrong," Cheney said after the first of many times Edwards hammered him on Osama bin Laden. " I have not suggested there's a connection between Iraq and 9/11, but there's clearly an established Iraqi track record with terror."
If this column had a video component, right now we'd be rolling back the tape to show Cheney on CNBC's The Capital Report, as recently as last June, lying to host Gloria Berger. He denied what he said on Meet The Press in 2001, that it was "pretty well confirmed" that lead 9/11 hijacker Mohammed Atta had meetings with Iraqi intelligence. "

Well if you had actually researched yourself and not been a stupid ass moron who listens to everything he's told and believes it you'd find its all bullshit.
Here is your wuote : Clinton did NOTHING after the first WTC attack, even though they knew and had strong evidence that Osama was behind that one.
WRONG DUMBASS!!! Heres what happen had tyou not been in a coma then.
On 26 February 1993, a car loaded with 1,200 pounds of explosives blew up in a parking
garage under the World Trade Center, killing six people and injuring about a thousand
others. The blast did not, as its planners intended, bring down the towers — that was
finally accomplished by flying two hijacked airliners into the twin towers on the morning of
11 September 2001.
Four followers of the Egyptian cleric Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman were captured, convicted of
the World Trade Center bombing in March 1994, and sentenced to 240 years in prison each. The
purported mastermind of the plot, Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, was captured in 1995, convicted of the
bombing in November 1997, and also sentenced to 240 years in prison. One additional suspect
fled the U.S. and is believed to be living in Baghdad.
DUH guess that must have been Bushes doing huh? The list goes on but I suspect your too stupid to understand. Let me guess since its probalby recent you recieved the Email about This and other Clinton bashing. The line at the end of each load of crap is now "Bush covered it" Am I wrong? Or did you recieve the initical email before they added that line.
Pull you head out of Bushes ass and try reading some. Ya might learn something though I doubt it.
Oh and one last thing if getting a blow job gets us the FIRST EVER balanced budget and surplus in U.S. history versus the largerest deficit Bush gave us hell I'll donate all I can to get Bush a blow job and maybve he can balance something.

Found this trolling the internet. Priceless:
Dick Cheney’s Mortal Sin
Cheney proved himself to be a false Christian on Tuesday night when he
bore false witness against John Edwards. Cheney falsely claimed that
he had never met Edwards before. It turns out that this was not merely
a lie, but blasphemy! In fact, Cheney and Edwards had not only met
before, they had sat together for hours and prayed together, and Cheney
even publicly thanked Edwards for praying with him! This was the first
of two on-camera meeting between the two, in 2001 alone. On another
occasion, in 2003, the two met on the floor of the Senate when Edwards,
as the senior Senator from North Carolina, escorted Elizabeth Dole to
be sworn in on the Bible. So here we have Cheney lying about whom he
sat down to pray with, and lying about a meeting that occurred before
the holy Bible. Of course, Cheney owes a sincere and public apology to
Edwards. But Cheney also owes a public repentance to G-d, for this
false witness went beyond a lie and became a sin; and if Cheney does
not so repent, then he is proven a false Christian and a sinner, and
his sin will condemn all who vote for him.
