dmusic.com - There's a great feel to this site with an emphasis on community rather than charts or payouts. This is a growing host and each time I take a look, they have more artists and the occasional new feature. They also offer a pro hosting service for bands. The more I use this site, the more I like it. The usual petty bickering types don't seem to have landed on this site...famous last words, no doubt.

Pros:
Loads of good interactive features, like buddy lists, shoutboxes, the usual forums and a quick and easy rating system (Either thumbs up or thumbs down). You can leave comments for an artist almost anywhere, see who's on line - see who's looking at an artist's page and so on.
It's still FREE.

Cons:
Being user supported, it can sometimes feel a little "clunky". Occasional glitches in the system can cause downtime, but they don't insist on payment, so no one complains.

my only complaint on this site is the charts other then that it is the best music site on the web

I've found the site has an admirable uptime...wonder when they were talking about it being down?

sometime when Fu-Dog was making alot of changes and also before the new servers this place could get slow at times... i havent had a problem in six months or so...

99% of the time it works just fine, but that 1% is usually when something happened or major network conjestion. I haven't had any recent problems, and opens just fine.

I think the review is pretty old.

When I first joined in Sept there were some times it would take quite a while for pages to load up, but since the top of the year I haven't seen any drag time at all. Very consistent.
