'P. Diddy' to tackle politics on MTV show
Posted by Advancedpepe512000 in on May 23, 2004 at 7:25 PM

Combs told the New York Post he'll scout the streets of Harlem, Brooklyn and Detroit for "real people" to ask the questions.

"The people who usually ask the candidates questions are screened, and I'm going to use real people off the streets to get their questions out there," Combs told the paper. "I'm going to make Kerry and Bush squirm."

Combs, 34, said he hopes to encourage a record number of young people and minorities to vote.

Combs is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun." Although he received mixed reviews, initial ticket sales broke the Royale Theatre record.

He also recently announced a collaboration with Estee Lauder on a new line of fragrances under the rapper's Sean John name.

Hey Puffy, what are you going to grill them on??? How to get "funky"!!!

Somebody please tell me this is some sort of joke. It's just like the celebs testifying before congress about how we need to do something about some blah, blah, blah cause... and then they just repeat the rhetoric of whomever is paying them to be there.

Puffy, you stopped caring about "the street" the moment you had enough money to never have to live there again.

I think Kid Rock said it best with

"Why is everybody trying to stop the war? George Bush ain't been saying, 'You all, make shitty records.' Politicians and music don't mix. It's like whisky and wine. [Musicians] ought to stay out of it."

What is with sneaky Sumner Redstone and Mel Karmazin head pigs at MTV\Viacom when it comes to this joker P Diddy or Puff Daddy or whatever this ignoramus is going by these days. I mean the guy hasn't had a hit cd in years and yet pigmedia Viacom coddles puffy like some child. Does he have part ownership in this retched company or something? It's anywonder you can't see a rock video or any video besides rap on there for that matter anymore.

Hey, I have a question... where does John McCain stand on file-sharing/copyright issues? I've heard a growing chorus of voices calling for McCain to run as an independent, and some commentators have suggested that his recent scathing indictments of the Bush administration's blunders signal that McCain is gearing up to do just that. I've also heard (albeit from less verifiable sources) that his staff is behind websites such as http://www.draftmccain.org/ - and I believe that if he were to run, McCain would smash both parites and win handily! Before I tip my wholehearted support to McCain, though, I must know his positions (if any) on these issues that are near and dear to me.

Going with McCain would be a wise thing. Even though he's a Repub (not that that matters much to me) he has shown that he really does care. But I'll find more info.

In terms of file sharing, he is pro P2P from the sounds of him.
