In July, Knight, 39, was sent to Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, California, for 10 months for violating parole after being arrested for punching a parking attendant at a Hollywood nightclub. The arrest was Knight's second for parole violations.
In a statement, the founder of Death Row Records said he will work with various artists and record labels to pull together a hip-hop album benefiting the families who are confronting mounting financial burdens.
"I'm not taking any kind of political stance on the war," said Knight, adding he hopes to have the record on store shelves by Christmas."

Awesome, too bad I won't buy it if it comes from a RIAA label I'd rather just give money to one of the families. I'm sure my money would be alot more than the like 5 cents per album anyway.

Its too bad its on a RIAA label.
The families cut of the CD will be about 2.5 cents. The labels take money from 12 year olds, do you really think they will care if they use these families as pawns so they can fill thier wallets?
Share it over Kazaa, bittorrent, and send 5$ to a family.
