I want the promotion of independent music. I really do!
I got all "miffed" and "hot and bothered" all those times I see/saw bands just using the boycott-riaa boards ONLY for self promotion.
I REALLY do not mind a little bit of self or favorite band shout-outs.
I just get a little worried seeing these band promos put on here as if they were a news story we should be concerned about in their own right.
Fair is fair.
What would you think if Brittney Spears got a "headline" here, and all the article talked about was her?
Now, by the same token, if a famous person wanted to take a position and RESPOND in one of our little dialogues,
then, at the end happened to mention thier band/latest album/whatnot...
but, they were HONESTLY involved in our discussion (PRO OR CON)
...well, I would not mind.

I'de tend to agree. What is so good about a 7 track cd anyway? Christ thats RIAA prices.
